Canada were knocked out of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup after a 1-0 loss to Sweden in the round of 16 in Paris Monday night.

Sweden’s Stina Blackstenius scored the game’s lone goal in the 55th minute. Canada recovered somewhat to eventually earn a penalty. But Janine Beckie saw her spot kick saved by Hedvig Lindahl.

Sweden now progress to meet Germany in the quarterfinals Saturday.
