Forge FC announced the re-signing of Canadian forward Chris Nanco Thursday. The new contract will keep the 26-year-old at the club through the 2021 Canadian Premier League season.
Nanco is a two-time CPL champion with Forge FC, having made 36 appearances in all competitions, including CPL, Concacaf League and the Canadian Championship. He’s scored seven goals for Hamilton’s club in that time.
“We are very happy to have re-signed Chris and look forward to continue building on our two successful championship seasons together,” said Costa Smyrniotis, Forge FC director of football, via a club statement.
Nanco was one of Forge FC’s first-ever signings, joining the club alongside Kyle Bekker in 2018.
Before joining Forge FC, Nanco spent two season with Bethlehem Steel in the United Soccer League and spent four years before that at Syracuse University. Nanco is a product of Sigma FC’s youth teams.
